Q. Are Italian attorneys allowed to practice nationwide, all over Italy, or, for example, an Italian Attorney from Tuscany is not allowed to practice in Venice?
A. Italian attorneys are allowed to practice Italian law nationwide, once they have passed the bar exam (in italian "Esame di Stato"). For instance, Italian attorneys who passed the bar exam in the South of Italy are allowed and have competence to represent clients with interests everywehere in Italy, even in the North of the country. Even if some matters might also be regulated by Regional or more local laws and regulations, Italian attorneys are subject to no regional practice restriction.
