Italian Immigration Legal Services Introduction

Visa – Permit to Stay (Permesso di Soggiorno) – Residency

We assist clients throughout the world to go to Italy. We handle immigration files nationwide.

We discuss with our clients their specific personal needs, goals and expectations, advise them about applicable immigration rules, regulations, requirements, available options and opportunities, success chances and total costs. We prepare the file to be lodged with the competent authority and prepare our clients for interviews and appointments at the Italian consulate and other involved Italian offices.

We also offer assistance on demand or comprehensive legal service packages from start to finish, including health insurance policy, financial guarantee (bond), Italian tax code (“codice fiscale”), lease agreement and legal translations.

Our firm is a filter between our clients and the Italian bureaucratic and complicated immigration rules and regulations: the client contacts us and we navigate the case all the way up to filing. Clients can count on us as their constant point of reference until we hand them the visa, permit to stay or residency application to be lodged.

We have successfully assisted many people with matters of Italian visa, permit to stay and residency. We would be glad to assist you. Book a Consultation with us so that we can review your case circumstances and your goals and advise you accordingly.

Terms of Business and Fees

Find an indication of our rates at the end of the activities listed under each category of service above. Since each case is different our activities and fee structure shall be adjusted as per the specific case circumstances.

For example, if you need to complete a visa, Permit to Stay (permesso di soggiorno) or residency application by a certain deadline, we would be happy to prioritize your case as much as possible. However, this might cause our work process to be less efficient which would be reflected in a higher fee quotation.

Getting Started/Timing

Moving to another country requires a number of steps and has many consequences on several aspects of your life. If you are considering to move to Italy the suggestion is to discuss your case circumstances with an expert as soon as possible.

The earlier the better. If you have more time you have also more options and it will be more easier to opt for a strategy that fits you best, that is more cost-effective and has most success changes.

For example, if you plan to apply for an Italian visa or for Italian residency, there are several tasks that you might be able to take care of by yourself saving on legal fees and on your total costs in general.

 Average timing for a person applying for an Italian Visa from the US, Canada or Australia:

  • Contact us to discuss your case and plan a strategy: 1 year (or earlier if possible) to 6 months before going to Italy (however, we have also been successful when hired just a few days before the visa appointment and within just a few weeks away from the desired departure date; less notice usually makes the process more expensive though);
  • File the visa application with the competent Italian Consulate: within the third month before you wish to go to Italy (around the 50th day before your departure date).

Average timing for a EU (or Schengen) citizen to apply for Italian Residency:

  • Contact us to discuss your case and plan a strategy: 6 months (or earlier if possible) to 3 months before going to Italy.
