Post workshop wrap-up:

With over 400 people registered, we had a great turnout and lots of positive feedback from attendees. If you were not able to join us, we’ll have a recording on our YouTube channel by the end of the month so go subscribe and turn on notifications.

We also had tons of questions that we did not have time for during our Q&A so stay tuned for some video shorts that we’ll be doing so we can address them.

Pre workshop info:

Learn ways to protect your real estate investment…after all, a property purchase is an investment, whether you’re spending 100,000€ or 1,000,000€.

We’re looking at this as more of a ‘Toolbox’ Workshop, so that you come away with specific tools to approach purchasing property in Italy. The goal is to give you concrete steps to feel more confident as you navigate this process.

For example, did you know that sellers and realtors in Italy do not provide buyers with a seller’s disclosure document? Or that on January 1st, 2024 some new laws entered into force that significantly increase the risk of liability on buyers of properties that were refurbished through some remodeling tax credit programs? Sometimes you don’t know what you don’t know!

We will explain how to protect your investment from these types of risks.

Brief agenda:

  1. Key elements of Italian property purchase in comparison with real estate sales in other countries:
    • Players and their roles
    • How to look for a property
    • Financials
    • Civil law default rules
  2. Deep dive: analysis of specific concerns applying to buyers:
  3. Case studies
  4. Q&A
