14 February 2023 – I contacted Studio Legale Metta in the summer of 2022 after selling my house in New York. Before I did, I tried to start the legal process of obtaining my Carta di Soggiorno on my own, by contacting the Italian Consulate in New York City. Needless to say, the Consulate was NO help (they didn’t want to listen and all they did was yell). My wife is an Italian citizen and was already in Italy, and I needed to move from New York as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, trying to understand the legal process AND the paperwork was daunting…to say the least! Martina Pavone and Antonio Cammarano at Studio Legale Metta made the whole process smooth and painless! They worked with me the whole way and were VERY patient in explaining the process and answered all my questions…and there was no yelling! We also spoke and saw each other using Zoom, which made me feel like I was in their office face to face.
