Qualified Italian lawyer (avvocato) in 1972, immediately following Aurelio joined the family firm alongside his father Nicola and his brother Giacomo. Since 1987 he has been qualified to testify at the Italian Supreme Court (Corte di Cassazione). Aurelio is senior partner of the firm and leads the Civil Litigation and Commercial Law practices. Throughout his long legal career, Aurelio has been distinguished among his peers for his commitment to different lawyers’ associations. He was formerly selected to be the Representative of the Lawyers and Trainees of U.D.A.I. (Italian Lawyers’ Association – founded in 1963 by his father Nicola and his brother Giacomo). Aurelio has twice been elected to the position of Treasurer of the Bar Association of Bari (Consiglio dell’Ordine degli Avvocati e Procuratori) for the 1988-1992 terms.

Founding Member and Secretary of the Civil Chamber, Aurelio is also a founding member of the Administrative Council of Legal Studies of Bari (Consiglio di Amministrazione della Scuola Forense) in Bari, a found member of CERIM – Center of Study for the Recovery of Businesses in Crisis (Centro Studi sul Risanamento delle Imprese in Crisi), as well as a founding member of the Arbitration Board of the Bari Chamber of Commerce.

Aurelio is an active partner of Rotary Club of Bari, an international volunteer service association.  He is currently Secretary and twice has been awarded the Paul Harris Fellow.

Furthermore, he founded the organization “Apulia Freedom Committee” (Comitato delle Libertà: Apulia) and is currently President of the association“People and Politics” (Persone e Politica).

Moreover, he has been organizing classes and lecturing on arbitration in cooperation with Accountants Council Organization and enineers and Architects Organization Council.
