After 40 years as a federal employee in the United States, Barbara brings us extensive experience in case management, human resources, and customer service. Her primary focus has been in managing and creating programming for Military Family Support Centers worldwide, both at the installation level as well as at Headquarters. She most recently worked as an Executive Officer with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), assisting with the Agency’s support to individuals impacted by hurricanes, wildfires, and other disasters nationwide, including FEMA’s response to COVID-19.
Originally from Reston, Virginia, she lived and worked in Italy, Germany, Southern California, Florida’s Gulf Coast, St Louis, Colorado, and Texas. She and her husband met while stationed in Southern Italy with the US Air Force and fulfilled their dream of moving to Puglia in 2021. She is married and has a daughter and son-in-law in Ohio and two grandsons as well as a son and his fiancée in St Louis.
