Qualified to try cases at the Tribunali Ecclesiastici (Ecclesiastic Courts) in 2004 and qualified as an Italian lawyer (avvocato) in 2005. In 2008 Federica was admitted as an attorney at law to the Tribunale Apostolico della Rota Romana (Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signature), the highest court of appeal for the Tribunal of the Roman Rota in matters concerning the Catholic Church. As an avvocato rotale, Federica is one of approximately only 220 lawyers worldwide admitted to the Vatican Courts.
Her primary areas of practice are family law, adoption, separation and divorce, and prenuptial agreements.
