Qualified lawyer since 1955, Giacomo immediately joined the family law firm next to his father, Cavaliere Grand Ufficiale (Knight Grand Officer) Nicola Metta.
Since 1970, Giacomo has been qualified to discuss in front of the Corte di Cassazione (Court of Cassation/Italian Supreme Court). His primary areas of practice are Civil, Succession and Family Law.
In 2006, the Lawyers Association of Bari awarded him with the prestigious “Toga d’Oro” (Golden Gown) for his outstanding career, his professionalism and his expertise.
Together with his father, he founded the U.D.A.I. (Italian Lawyers Association) and other associations, such as the A.I.G.A. (Italian Young Lawyers Association) and the Movement of Lawyers. Currently he is a member of the Law School of Bari (Scuola Forense di Bari).
Moreover, Giacomo Metta received the Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary Club, a volunteer and international association.
