Studio Legale Metta was invited to speak at an Italian property seminar in Stockport (UK) on 10 March 2011 to present Italian inheritance law and the international rules applicable to Italian properties owned by non-Italian subjects.
Studio Legale Metta international department is specialized in international Wills and Real Estate transactions. SLM was invited to explain how the succession of an Italian property is managed when international profiles are involved (e.g., non-Italian citizenship or residence of the deceased), which law applies, UK will execution in Italy, applicable taxes, and other pertinent legal aspects.
The seminar was held by Calabria Invest, a leading company specialized in services addressed to owners of properties in Calabria. In particular, the seminar aimed at providing concrete answers to most frequent queries as well as proposing practical solutions.
After the meeting, attendants had one-on-one conversations with the speakers and discussed specific legal matters concerning their properties in Italy, including tax duties, estate planning and the property sale process.
