SLM partner Nick Metta has been invited by Filitalia International, an Italian American group founded in Philadelphia in 1987, to speak at their Breakfast Series on October 10, 2018 at 9 a.m. Nick will discuss the legal aspects of “Writing a Will For an Italian House” at Filitalia’s History of Italian Immigration Museum in Philadelphia. Nick is the founder and lead partner of the international department of Italian law firm, Studio Legale Metta.
Nick’s expertise on the U.S.-Italian Estate Planning comes from his 20 years of experience executing international wills and successions for clients around the world. Furthering this professional experience in the international inheritance sector is Nick’s personal experience having addressed his own real estate portfolio as a dual citizen and dual resident of the U.S. and Italy. At Filitalia International Nick will offer insider information on Italian succession and share his in-depth knowledge and experience with attendees.
Through discussions of actual case studies and samples of clauses to include in an American will, Nick will guide attendees through the complex matters of international (Italy – U.S.) succession and estate planning, breaking down areas such as: conflict of law rules, citizenship norms and taxation concerns.
