Question: Is an Italian attorney allowed to practice nationwide, all over Italy, or, for example, an Italian Attorney from Tuscany is not allowed to practice in Venice?
Answer: Italian attorneys are allowed to practice Italian law nationwide, once they have passed the bar exam (in Italian “Esame di Stato”) and they are registered with a local Italian bar association (“Consiglio dell’Ordine”) as “Avvocato”.
“Attorney at law”, in Italian is “Avvocato”.
For instance, an Italian attorney (“Avvocato”) who passed the bar exam in the South of Italy is licensed and has competence to represent clients with interests everywhere in Italy, even in the North of the country. Even if some matters might also be regulated by Regional or more local laws and regulations, Italian attorneys are subject to no regional practice restriction.
Italian Attorneys of Studio Legale Metta assist clients with matters everywhere in Italy, including Italian inheritance law, Italian property purchases and sales, Italian mortgage, debt collection, agency agreement and any other matter pertaining our International areas of practice.
