Question: Can a lawyer or a notary assist me writing an Italian Will? How much a standard Will process would cost?
Answer: Notaries are the typical professionals writing and registering Italian Wills. Italian lawyers are not. If neither you speak fluent Italian or the notary speaks your language, the notary will likely ask for an interpreter to participate in the Will to make sure you are fully aware of what your Will provides.
An Italian notary might charge approximately from EUR 500 to 800 for a Will to be regulated by the Italian law and something more for a Will to be regulated by your home country law, if different. The interpreter would charge approximately from EUR 200 to EUR 400. Afterwards, in order to execute the Will when time comes, the notary would charge will registration fees and taxes for the beneficiaries to use it.
